ARTIST & NOMAD is an impact business focused on regenerative practices that promote artisan advocacy and intentional living. We also have a non-profit arm that furthers this mission through mentorship and support of artisan leaders around the world. As a company we put these practices into action through travel, design, and film.

Regenerative approaches are holistic, designed to restore and revitalize ecosystems and resources rather than depleting or just sustaining them. We focus on leaving a destination measurably better than before by supporting local economies and empowering host communities. We want to be mindful and responsible at the core of all we do to make a positive impact in this world. We hope our presence as a company helps to foster beauty, love, and equal opportunity.

Our core initiatives of Travel, Film, and Design aim to foster the empowerment of women, create opportunities for artisans to break cycles of poverty and exploitation, and help protect and restore creation through climate justice initiatives.

The Founders

ARTIST & NOMAD was founded by Kirsten and Brandon Dickerson as an invitation to live intentionally and creatively — exploring the world and practicing generosity as a form of quiet activism that makes the world more beautiful and equitable for all. Together they offer ARTIST & NOMAD decades of global experience in hospitality, media, and design.
